Edward Thomas Moore, the third generation of 'Edward Thomas Moore's'. The father to five children,
brother to 8 siblings, granddad to 7 grandchildren and husband to one wife.
A boy who grew up in Peckham, South London and married at 23 to a lovely, beautiful wife; Carol Ann
Moore. He worked all over taking part in all different levels of work. Those included the Channel
tunnel and Security work.
He had a great family which really was great as in number-wise with over 20 nieces and nephews and
over forty great nieces and nephews.
But, to me, he really was great. He done everything and it always revolved around me and Sammy, my
cousin who passed in March(2006). We spent EVERY weekend together, whether it be in Leysdown, at
home or in any of the many parks in and around Charlton and Woolwich.
August 2005 he found out he had cancer and it controlled his life for four whole years, until it
eventually took his life on the first of August 2009.
His funeral took place on the 18th August at Lewisham Cremetorium in which he was cremated so his
ashes could be burried with Sammy.These were layed 23rd August on a Sunday afternoon. At his wake,
we sent a collection round to raise money for the Macmillian Cancer Support Charity - His own
wishes, and we managed to raise £300.
I now know he is at rest, in no pain, with the granddaughter he so badly missed, giving back all
that much owed cuddles and love. Eventually, I'll meet them, with them both at the bottom of the
stairs ready to walk me up. I miss you granddad, i love you granddad.
At least now youre out of pain Eddie and can be with your other Granddaughter Sammy xx
We can still hear you and see you and would like to thank you for always making us feel welcome.
